Got Questions?
Dialysis is needed when your kidneys retain only 10–15% of their normal function. Symptoms indicating it may be time include nausea, vomiting, fatigue, and swelling. Your nephrologist will determine the right moment to begin treatment based on blood tests (GFR) and your symptoms.
Each haemodialysis session typically lasts 4 hours and is done 3 times per week, following a personalised prescription from Dr. Wala. Monthly lab tests ensure you are getting the correct dose of dialysis for your health goals.
Yes. NHIF covers up to 80% of dialysis costs for most eligible patients, making treatment far more affordable. We also accept most private health insurance schemes including AAR, Jubilee Health, CIC, Madison, and more. Contact us to verify your cover before your first session.
Yes. All four CKS branches — Pangani, Buruburu, Aga Khan, and Kimuka — have accessible parking for patients and their families or caregivers. If you have mobility challenges, please call ahead so we can arrange assistance from the car park.
All CKS branches are open Monday to Saturday, 7:00 AM to 6:00 PM. We are closed on Sundays and public holidays. Emergency consultations or urgent queries can be directed to 0757 614 036 or 0790 602 291 at any time.
Yes. Dialysis patients are generally advised to increase protein intake while limiting potassium, phosphorus, sodium, and fluid. Patients with diabetes may have additional restrictions. Our team provides personalised diet counselling and monthly lab tests to monitor your nutritional goals.
Breakfast and lunch are provided at every dialysis session at no extra cost to the patient. Meals are prepared to meet the dietary guidelines for kidney patients, ensuring you stay nourished throughout your 4-hour session.
